Ali Bastian used to play the part of Becca Hayton in Hollyoaks. She’s still here on

Hollyoaks Girls .com but has since moved onto the Bill where she has stayed to this

date.

Born 1st January 1983 in Windsor, Berkshire Ali Bastian (Alexandra Bastian) first joined

the soap in 2001 to play the well known character Becca Dean. Her first taste of pro

acting came with a role in a production of Jane Eyre at the age of ten! After playing

Becca successfully for several years Ali was plunged into a controversial storyline in

which Becca was dismissed from her work as a teacher as it transpired she was involved

in a relationship with one of her pupils. Winning best storyline at the Soap awards 2006

Ali and Chris Fountain’s characters certainly made an impact. Perhaps deciding she had

done all she could with the character Ali Bastian left Hollyoaks in early 2007.

Since then she moved on to play the role of PC Sally Armstrong in popular ITV crime

drama The Bill. First appearing in the episode Cop Killer Part 1 in June 2007 Sun hill

was Ali’s (Sally Armstrong’s) second post after being moved from Harringay. Leaving the

series in the episode “Unforgiven” aired in late December 2009 Ali has since moved on to

even more exciting new projects.

Taking in keep fit videos to being a semi-finalist on the hugely popular Strictly Come

Dancing, finishing in 3rd place out of a total of 16 contestants!
