Emma Rigby was born on the 26th of September 1989 in St Helens, Merseyside. Most people

would probably know her best for her portrayal of the character Hannah Ashworth in

Channel 4?s soap Hollyoaks.

Emma was nominated for the Best Actress award in the 2007 British Soap Awards at the

young age of 17. Unfortunatley she didn’t make it to the final four, but it remains

quite an achievement for a 17 year old. However it didn’t take Emma long to claim her

title as she went on to win the British Soap Award for Best Actress one year later in

2008! Emma Rigby also went on to win the best storyline award for her portrayal of

Hannah Ashworth’s eating disorder at the glamorous “Hollyoaks Awards”.

With the award nominations simply rolling in Emma was nominated for the Sexiest Female

2009 but unfortunately lost out in the final stages. Emma has starred in 5 episodes of

the Hollyoaks Later edition of the soap and competed on Hole in the Wall. Rigby made her

first outing as a television presenter in 2008 on the show “The Race Against Cancer” a

motorsport show featuring some of the sports best names.

With all these amazing achievements to her name and so much going on Emma Rigby has

certainly earned her place in the Hollyoaks Girls hall of fame!
