Gemma Atkinson and English actress born on the fifteenth of November 1984 in Bury played

the part of  popular character Lisa Hunter in the smash TV soap Hollyoaks.

Gemma Atkinson shot into the limelight after playing the popular character Lisa Hunter

in long running TV soap Hollyoaks. Lisa Hunter first appeared on our screens in 2001

before proceeding to make further appearances in the programmes “Hollyoaks Let Loose”

and “Hollyoaks In the City”.

Playing a thoughtful and shy character Lisa Hunter regularly saw the full force of

family problems. With overprotective parents and brothers Gemma portrayed Lisa’s

difficult life incredibly well. After becoming popular at school Lisa becomes the target

of a envious Steph Dean who goes well out of her way to make Lisa’s life miserable.

Gemma Atkinsons last appearance in Hollyoaks was in 2006 and has since gone on to be a

well know TV personality and glamour model.

Gemma appeared in the infamous “I’m a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here”. Atkinson also

reached the last four in the hit reality show Soapstar Superstar in January 2007

performing hits by Pink, Eva Cassidy, Kylie Minogue and Shania Twain. Not content with

the usual reality television circuit Gemma also put her wits to the test on Celebrity

Mastermind and daringly participated on Jack Osbourne’s hit ITV2 show “Adrenaline

Junkie”.

Atkinson has been involved in a variety of charity work too helping raise money and

awareness for breast cancer.

Gemma’s latest news is that she is taking to the stages in a 12 week UK tour of hugely

popular West End show “Calendar Girls”!
